Corona virus - Everything that you need to know
Coronavirus (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by a virus. The first outbreak of this disease dates back to 17 November 2019 when the first case was registered in Wuhan, China. It was first considered a pneumonia outbreak, but at the end of 2019, the World Health Organisation (WHO) gave it an interim name of 2019-nCoV. Later the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses named it SARS-CoV-2. From that day this virus has spread all over the world. Today there are about 7.5 million/75 lakh cases of Coronavirus in 216 countries and 400k/4 lakh casualties as of 13 March 2020.
Coronaviruses are a group of related RNA viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans , these viruses cause respiratory track infections that can range from mild to lethal. Mild infections can include common cold and more lethal infections can cause SARS, MERS and Covid-19. Symptoms in other species vary, like in chickens it causes upper Respiratory track diseases and in cows it causes diarrhea.

MEASURES TAKEN BY THE GOVERNMENT IN INDIA TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS
In India the first case of Corona was registered on 30 January 2020, in Kerala. Since then many steps were taken to prevent this virus. Some of them are mentioned below:
- The government of India declared an all India lockdown on 25 March 2020. Initially it was for 21 days, then it was further extended. Lockdown 1.0 was 21 days, lockdown 2.0 was 19 days long, lockdown 3.0 was 14 day long and the lockdown 4.0 lasted till 31st May and finally lockdown 5.0 was declared till 30 June. All the lockdowns had their own laws. As time passed the laws of the lockdowns relaxed. In lockdown 1.0 no shops were open, except for dairy shops and grocery shops, that too for a very little time. In lockdown 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 the daily requirements were only sold but as the production was stopped the stock was gradually decreasing. In lockdown 5.0 many more shops were opened and restrictions were relaxed.
- The government banned all the international and domestic flights along with The Indian Railways. The country was at a halt.
- The government of India started rescuing Indians from all over the world by sending special flights. Most of the Indians were tourists or students who went abroad to study.
- The Prime Minister of India started a fund called PM Cares Fund for people to donate money for this pandemic. Many celebrities donated money to this, some even donated money to NGOs who were feeding homeless and poor people.
- In late March, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to arrange buses at Delhi's Anand Vihar bus station to take the migrants back to their villages for free. Migrants across the country remained stranded till the last week of April, when the state governments were finally permitted by the central government to operate buses, but not trains.
Coronavirus has many bad effects, but on the other hand it has some good effects too. Nowadays the pollution level in the world has decreased drastically. The Earth's crust is vibrating less. It is just the Earth's way to recover. The humans have affected the nature too much since decades. Now the nature showed it's power and in recovering on its own.
